TSgt (Retired) Jesse Knight was "one of a kind." When I say "one of a kind" I mean he was special--special to Food Services and "Very Special" to the bases where he was stationed. Not only was he special due to his baking skills, but mostly because he was "GREAT" in the batter's box and coaching positions. TSgt Knight was one of our Air Force sports Airmen that won many softball championships for the bases where he was stationed. Ask any of the old guys about when sports was the thing back in the day. TSgt Knight became an accomplished military baker and helped Eglin AFB win Hennessy in 1968. After retirement and a successful career in NAF, Mr. Knight has excelled as personal softball coach.
