Dan,

Funny you ask about the interaction with the children.  I just returned from a visit to a Palestinian camp out in Waleed village.  There's about 350 displaced individuals and dozens of children in that group.  We handed out a bunch of pens/pencils/paper and candy to the kids.  We visit the village pretty often and it's a great time interacting with the kids...well most of them anyway.  We are dropping by the local school - lets just say...soon!  We have a big bin of stuff from the civil affairs group that includes kids backpacks pre-loaded with pencils, paper, and other goodies.  We also have soccer balls, stuffed animals, and some sweaters and shirts.  Anything you come up with would of course help out.  I'm sure we could never give out too much stuff to the locals.  Here's a few pics from visits out in town.
