Learn how to send a little care package to those
deployed serving !!!
I think even some of the simplest things make a big
difference to some of these guys! I sent a box of food snacks, including a
5 pound bag of peanuts, to this unit. The Saturday Night Live DVD set I
sent has apparently been a big hit! Anything we can send.........snacks,
magazines, books, etc, is all appreciated. I hope we still encourage our
friends to participate. There are still lots of folks on "AnySoldier.Com"
(from all services) who could use some help............or even letters from
home. They LOVE getting local newspapers, and they're cheap to send via
media mail!
This guy is at a FOB in Afghanistan, near Pakistan....a
really bad place to be. I'll be glad to send addresses to anyone who wants
to mail stuff over! Pass it along?

Subject: Thank You!
Hello,
Hi Chief! My name is Luke Godson and I am one of
the medics out here at Kamdesh aid station. I just wanted to take the time
to thank you for sending out all the goodies you have sent us. I my self
have been devouring the penuts you sent as they are one of my favorite
snacks. It has been a real joy and blessing to get your packages and we are
real appreciative. I happen to be from Florida myself and have been to
Bradenton. I used to live over on the east coast in Melbourne. I went to
college for a couple of years in Lakeland which is closer to you. Man do I
miss Florida! Especially this time a year when everyone is out and about
enjoying the water activities. We have enjoyed the SNL dvd set you sent out
to us. We have sat around the past couple of nights watching them together
and having a lot of laughs so thank you for that. I hope you and your wife
enjoy your weekend and we all look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely,
PFC Luke Godson
